Formula V Tire treatment

Hi All,
I am using a set of take offs for autocrossing . They were starting to get kind of hard , so I thought I would try
Formula V to restore them.

I have put treated them once , and will treat them at least two to three more times. After one treatment I can stick my
finger nail into them and make an indentation again. I will let you know how it works after next weekends autocross .

Brian Taubman has been using it on some old tires at some of our local events and following the directions religiously. The run by run results always seem to be; first run - kind of greasy but quick, second run - fast, third run - a little slower, fourth+ runs - all benefit is gone.

So make that second run count!!!

Tom,
When I talked with the Formula V rep. he said the dirst run could be a bit greasy if it didn't soak in well . I usually take the first run easy anyways . I try to go hard on the 2nd through 4th run. I made 9 runs at the last event , and when I was running without a passenger my 2nd through 4th runs were just a few tenths off each other. That is without the treatment .

So make that second run count!!!
Not like your putting any pressure on me to hammer it out on the 2nd run. Luckily I get the PM run group next event , and we are running at higher speeds on the road course. Last year we had lows in the 20's for our Ocotber event . Not a good thing for road race compound tires
