Even though he would "talk your ear off" when you called him, he was always very knowledgeable and happy to see someone push the limits of an L series engine. He will be sorely missed by the Datsun racing community.

i was afraid that was the case as last time i had spoken to him he had hinted that he was not as well as he would have liked to have been. He will be missed greatly as you say as he was to me the fountain of knowledge and gave me much advice and help. He could talk your ear of and often did to me which was worth listening to even on a phone call from england.
hope all is well with you over there and your car prep for the season is progressing. cheers ben

That is quite a spot you seem to be in. Dave had a partner at one time. I am not sure if he still was involved or not. I am thinking Tom Cowen was his name. He was the driver of the SCCA car that Malvern Racing prepared. You might search Charlottesville Va..
Keep us posted here and if things don't work out on that end maybe we can hook you up with someone else to get the job done. There was quite a bit of very good stock at the shop and at some point it will be liqudated. If any of you see any advertising on that please update us.

Still try'in
No luck with try'in to get ahold of anyone, but still try'in. If you know anyone that converts, or sells a kit to convert lifters to solid is what I'm looking for. I race a nissan super mini truck at local NASCAR tracks in my area. I run a ka24e motor and at about 7000 rpm the lifters collapse. I really need to go solid so that is what I'm looking for. I talked to Dave and he said he did them, but I can't find anyone else that does it. Any help in this area would be greatly used so if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks
