not worth it. its a PIA to do a head gasket on these cars cause you will be putting in over 400 more dollars about as well. mitsu head gasket is 55 bucks, full timing kit 200 water pump, making sure all the balance shafts and ***** done (you need a haynes to walk you through the proper steps otherwise your engine will vibrate itself apart) new head bolts 100 bucks and the time and tools. if it were a turbo one i'd say go for it. and, i thought the 1G talons/eclipses used the 2.0 4G63 even with the NA setup and they didnt go to the 1.8 neon motor till the 2nd gen. i've done it 2 times so far, and might be making it a almost 3rd time if my lifters keep ticking and want to slit my wrists already. do you not have a good DD as is? i mean honestly, the NA with 150k is only worth maybe a grand to start with. its up to you, but i wouldn't personally go through the hassle of putting that time and money on anything but a manual AWD GSX. your call...

lol....ya i do have a good dd...but its a 95 chevy k1500. an ext cab 4whl drive v8 gas hog. i cant keep spending all this money on gas driving to work and back. its killin me. lookin for a honda hacth or coupe but no luck. i need a little import for mpg's. i got a 19 month old daughter and a lot of money goes into her ya know..so i thought 200 wasnt bad and maybe like 60 max for the gasket but... studs and timing ket and everything needs to be replaced too?

There's no reason not to. It's well worth the time & money to replace everything while you're in there. It would suck to pull it all apart to do a headgasket, put it all back together, just to find out a timing component needs to be replaced too (or to find out 5k from now).
When doing mechanical work, don't be cheap.
