Like i said before, the hood will most definitely get cut, hacked up or tore to shreds ( take your pick) to fit the Mr gasket scoop. And you better believe i will be enjoying every second of that particular task to the fullest. Yup, i could care less about keeping it stock, retaining its value, cutting holes in it or whatever. This thing was a dime a dozen 318 auto 72 Charger. It wasnt an RT or original 440. Just a old, beat Charger "topper" SE that had sat for the better part of the 90's until now. . . . just gotta go grab some new blades for the reciprocating saw!

Quick question for you guys . . .
I went and got an estimate from a local driveline/tranny shop today and the guy quoted me $500 for a 3.25" custom steel 1 piece drive shaft and new high performance diff yolk installed. Sound like a good deal? There are not too many driveline places in the area and the only one i was familiar with went under last year with the decline of the economy

Any of you local birds know of any other reputable shops i should look in to?

that price is fairly normal especially if your just giving him measurements and no existing parts. if you can give him the existing driveshaft and it can be deemed strong enought the price should drop 100-150 bux.

Charger is finally off to get a driveshaft made and new beefy diff yolk installed. Might even make it out to the local GoodGuys hot rod and customs show next week. . . .

the yoke in the rear is interesting, but it makes replacing the U joint simple

what? i never bought a Z anywhere NEAR pre built. are you smoking meth? this one even has a small hole in the floor behind the passanger seat. other than that its rust free. missing the gas tank though. and in Tennessee. also, i sold the 260Z for a decent reason. the 280Z so i could afford the bike and some petty reasons. this Z i will be keeping for a long long time.... as long as it turns out to be what it looks like in pictures. my dad will be there next week so he will update me.
