umm, thats pretty thamn fast. me wantee. imagine showing up to autocross in that thing, what class would they put you in ? i can hardly believe it is street legal. and for about $30k who needs a body or windshield, people spend 10 times that on cars that will never see the outside of a garage if there is a cloud in the sky, and dont meet that performance. imagine the looks you would get tearing *** down the freeway in that! when i am ready for a strictly sunny weekend car, i think that will be at the top of my list. 600hp per ton!!!! WOW!!! dont let the ricers know its a civic engine, or they'll all start claiming 2.9sec 0-60s lol.
Edit: just had a thought. what would happen if you got a little too friendly with an SUV??? well, probably a little more protection than a bike.....

Hell, take the bumpers off of the 280Z, put those on there for the time being

actually, reading a bit more i found they do offer windscreens. the bumper thing is a different story. i think it needs to be able to pass the 15mph crash test. anyone know if there is some sort of waiver availlable for this?

it never fails. in every car vs bike test they always i mean always select a 600cc sport bike. i would like to see it agins a gsxr 1000, zx10 at least a 1000cc bike. My bike is capible of 1.2 sec 60 foot times. i grant the car prob woudl still be able to beat the bike around the track but dang cmon something besides a 600cc bike.

Well, a liter aprillia is obvoiusly too much competition, i mean the 600 bike they used wasn't some weak 600 bike. You also have to remember that this was around a track...a lighter bike may actually be more competition than a big bulky fast straightline bike.

i have a 2003 limited edition Hayabusa, its a sportbike. i know you know what they are so dont take that the wrong way, i'm just trying to make a point. i know the busa is no match for your average sportbike in the curves, it just dont turn like the 600 or the 1000's do, but you can still drag a knee on it. the problem with it is, its low and long so it dont sit up high and have a short wheelbase like the other ones do which help in the turns.
i'm not saying that car isnt VERY fast, but but but but but for once would someone please pit a car like that against a bike with similar power to weight ratios??????????????
in every video i have downloaded in BIKES VS CARS.. its always a 600........

Wouldn't putting it up against a 1000cc bike or a Busa further increase the power/weight ratio difference though? I mean, you have to be somewhat fair about it. A 600cc bike has a more similar ratio than the Busa would have by far...

Hayabusa's are awesome bikes. Check out some Supra videos, whenever they're racing bikes, they're almost always liter bikes...and a lot of times they are busa's. As you could see the 600 was still raping that car in the straights, the car caught up in the turns.

guess your right.
A GSXR 600 put out somewhere around 90 - 100 rwhp and weighs in at about 380lbs, so that would be about .24hp for every pound.
my busa has about .36hp for every pound.
The car has 220bhp and weighs in at 456kgs, converted thats about 1000lbs soooooooooo ....
the car has about .22hp for every pound. the car a has the benefit for 4 disc brakes not 2....
still would like to see a bike with a little more pep give it a go.
man i hope i done those conversions right...........?
