MALIBU - As fast as it was going, there wasn't much left of an expensive car that hit a power pole Tuesday morning in Malibu, California.
The driver of a red Ferrari Enzo lost control of the exotic car at extremely high speed, and the vehicle disintegrated after hitting the pole.
The driver was able to flee, and police are still looking for him.
His passenger suffered a cut lip.
As for the car -- which was worth as much as $1 million -- the engine ended up in the highway, and the rest of it was several hundred yards away.
Pacific Coast Highway was shut down for more than two hours.

Oh come on, dont tell me you guys ACTUALLY think that guy was the passenger? Dont make me laugh. Obviously that was the driver. He was just drunk enough to think if he got over into the passenger seat that he could say he wasn't driving. Besides there's the whole thing with the blood they were talking about. And think about it, you have 1 of 399 $1,000,000 super cars made and you dont know the name of the guy you let race it down the road? RIGHT, I'll believe that when my **** turns purple and smells rainbow sherbert.
But yeah, I commend Ferrari on building a car that can completely destroy itself while still leaving the passengers intact. But I still guarantee that the passenger was actually the driver.

I was following this story yesterday, and it changed a lot throughout the day, It's not even certain that there WAS a passenger at this point. The guy who was at the scene was in fact the driver and registered owner. There was blood on his lip and on the drivers side airbag, there was no blood on the passenger side air bag. "some guy name Deitrich" just doesn't cut it for an answer to "who was driving?"
People who are going to be so stupid should not get to own such a car. In fact, Ferrari goes through great pains to make sure they are bought by responsible owners. It's more than just a car. It's a work of art. They can not be replaced. To destroy one because you decided to race somebody when you were drunk is just terrible.
That thing sure protected him though. Props to the engineers behind that structure.
Rod.

Yeah but on the dark side..... A rich *** like that is going to wreak another Enzo or Ford GT or the new Buggati joint when his fill coverage insurance pays him off.
I didnt even know people actually drove their Enzo's on the street, I thought they were strictlly fo sho.
