Honda Wont Start
Ok guys its a 97 accord 4cyl no vtec engine. And it wont turn over. All the lights and stuff work on the gauges just wont crank. the battery is good. I do have a aftermarket alarm on it that is super old and i'm thinking that may be the problem or maybe the starter. Every now and again the key would be hard to turn. So i'm not to sure where the culprit is.

turn it to on, then put a screwdriver across the terminals on the starter and see if it starts. At least then you'll know if the starter is good or bad. I don't believe the security can bypass you jumping the terminals, can it?

Last time I checked this was a off topic other car forum.. I do belive your lost. As you can see in my signature I have 2 ZX's That i am very proud of and have had for over a decade. Now the Honda is my jackass And right now i am putting miles on my Z Driving it daily because my mule is broke down....not cool. So I thought i would ask my fellow Z enthusist for some help. SO...Go find the right fourm.

Generally it's just the switch which goes bad. You don't need to replace the entire lock unless your key is starting to get jammed, or if other keys start to work in place of your real one. =P
