nissan.. wtf?!

alright i realize the other thread started on the 370z was closed BUT i just saw on the news that Nissan pulled out of the detroit auto show and i believe another one because they announced that there will be no new major production launches of what they came out with at the LA auto show. [the 370z and the nissan cube]

just wondering if anyone knows why or more about it??

I'm glad, keeps nissan from ****ing with a good design and keeps the street value of the car up.

ehh i can see your point. but the 350z is like a damn olds cutlass (my old dd) its like the car you see like 40% of all cars on the road. everyone that can make payments has a 350z and drives them like a granny. i liked the body lines of the 370z idk about the tails or the headlights but the body of it was trying to get back to the 240z roots which was sexy

Moved thread as this doesn't have anything to do with 280zx's.

so much generalization... are they driving like a granny in front of you while stuck in traffic?
If you are so bothered by them then do something about it. Make payments on a 350Z and drive it into the ground and stop complaining! Weave through traffic, speed, run red lights and total it like MOST people do. People are wrecking 350Z's left and right, obviously not driving like a granny.

There must be some "granny loves 350z" epidemic in Penn... Oh, and an epidemic for the Cutlass? I haven't seen one of those in years.

Every 350Z I see on the road around me drives it like old people F**K!

I was really starting to wonder if they were just that slow. But, with a high 13 sec 1/4 they shouldn't be.

Indeed... very slow... that's why there's always 1000+ active members on www.my350z.com.

i was talking about the 2dr/4dr olds cutlass like mid 90s. the first day i had one on the drive back to my house which was maybe 10min drive i counted 37 of them. i then realized i'd bought the most common car in my area. anyways back to the original post i wanna know why they chose not to release the 370. and i believe it was supposed to debut in 2010. because they had the rival at the LA auto show between the '10 mustang vs '10 370z

I'm always considering getting a twin turbo for mine.....but then I remember I already speed too much as it is.

Well.. You have to be smart about it.
Never bee caught racing someone, and I never take it much over the speed limit. I do that at the strip.
But you know what I mean. You pull up next to that guy with a quick car, and you want to see just how quick it is. Especially when it's a newer version of your car. Or something expensive. This has been happening with cars from way back in the days of t-buckets and with people like old grannies.

I do not have a good driving record, but most of it is non-moving violations.
A few speeding tickets, when I was all alone, and listening to the tune loud and get a little heavy on the gas.

^^Very true. You have to pick your spots. I consistently speed on my bike, but I haven't got a speeding ticket in 5 years, and that was in my truck. Cops seem to be pretty tolerant about bikes as far as speeding, stunting- thats a different story. I still might get the turbo for the 350, I don't think I would speed anymore than I do now....but it would nice feeling knowing you have a truly fast car, and you'll be very ready the next time you're lined-up at a stoplight with some ricer punk.

You know that is exactly what I do at some straight red lights and see how quick I can take off. I love it when it is some one with civic trying to burn be...and he/she fails...or sometimes they do burn be.
You can tell a lot about your performance of the car and your performance from that.

I read they pulled out so they could concentrate their advertising $ in a more productive manner. Not sur if that is spin or the situation.
