Spotted! R34 GTR

So, I'm sitting at a red light last night and I see this car coming at me... I quickly realize it has a GTR badge... My first thought was "Imposter" Then as it get's closer I realize there is only one person in the car and they are on the RIGHT side... Then it comes along side and I finally get a full view of it... it was the real deal. I know of some R32's and even an R33 around San Diego, but R34's are near impossible to import into Cali. I was awe struck.

Probably not as big of a deal to most of you as it was to me, but I had to share my excitment. It sounded PURE EVIL too

i only know of one imported here, and it was 250,000 to get licenced and in the country, there are many hoops to jump through to get this, so ya its a big deal. my buddy at nissan knows how to do it, and he even got to drive it around for a few weeks while it was here, thing was crazy fast, and i missed out on a ride. and never took pics.

Theres about 3-4 R32's rolling around Reno/Tahoe, and I've only seen 1 R33 (supposedly there is a loophole to getting it registered in NV....something about the no-emission areas) so I've seen em (not very often)....but never an R34, that's sweeeet man.

Closest I've ever been was at HIN in San Mateo....that's the only time I've ever seen one in person. Probably go nuts if I saw one at a light around here.

about 20-30k for a used somewhat good condition GTR, but thats only if you buy from a private party, then you have to deal with the actuall shipping, fly over there, drive the car to company, spend about 4 hours filling out paper work, then customs has to inspect it, then once its in the US you have to have it inspected again by customs, pay the fee's, then you have to have it shipped to your house..

The Best Way To Get It Shipped Over Here Is If You Are Millitary. You Are Allowed To Take One Car Over There. Best Way Is To Take A Old American Muscle Car ( They Are Like R-34's To Them ). They Pay Top Prices For American Cars. Buy A R-34 And Have The Millitary Ship It Over For You. One Thing You Can Do To Get It Into The Us Cheaper Is To Weld A Roll Cage In It And Get It Registered As A Drag Car. Then Sell It.
