VW Rabbit GTi
alright with the possibility of moving i am also looking at another car that i would be able to drive, i am gonna have to tow the Z down there because it would use so much gas and theres a pass that usually covered in snow when i may be moving so i would come back later and tow it back.
theres a VW rabbit gti sitting where i used to work, the guy next door owns a shop and i guess hes good with VWs because thats almost all he works on but hes not a specalty shop. i dont know if its for sale but its been sitting a long time (more than 9 months) and i was thinking of seeing if he would sell it.
any one have any experence with these things?
from what i have herd the GTi is a good performer and has a bullet proof engine (like a z in terms of durability) and theyre pretty cheap and have alot of interchangable parts.
the car has a full set of BBS gold mesh wheels on it it was silver and blue but they took the trim off and patched it real well but only primerd it so theres primer stripes running the legenth of the car. i dont know what a good price would be either and heck for all i know it may not have an engine.
NADA books it at $1500 low book, mechanicaly ok needing some work and paint worn, no mension of primer and knowing its sat and will need some work i am guessing probally $800 since it has a nice set of wheels.
what do you all think?
a rabbit GTI and a 21 window VW bus are the only 2 VWs i would ever buy
