81 280ZXT running for trade (or sale) SOLD!!

Car has been sold! Thanks everyone for the inquiries, and thanks Zdriver for the space to post!!!

Hey everyone, I'm ready to get my ice-racer out of the garage and want to do one of two things with it:

1) sell it for a couple bucks
2) Trade it for another, more interesting (to me) Z

So, preferably I would trade my "body has seen better days, there is no way in heck to restore this thing ever, but it is running" 81 ZXT for a more interesting Z car preferably for a 1st gen Z (I'll consider others though), running with complete frame rails - I'd be willing to drive the 81 to meet a person and trade 6 hours or so tops.

If you have a running car, and you need a complete ZXT drive train and you want to trade let me know... otherwise I'll disappointedly sell the ZXT - I just don't have the energy to part it out, so unless the price is really right, please don't ask.

Oh, yeah, I have pics if you want them - though they will only confirm the
fact that the body is beyond repair and it has a brand spankin' new set of snow tires on it.

I'm located in Toledo Ohio. Feel free to email me with for more info. I don't care about paint I just care about rust holes.

-Lukas

Toledo

Toledo is in the northwest quadrant of Ohio, right by Michigan, crammed up against the Western corner of Lake Erie.

Post block & misc info

I can double check the block serial if you need it, but its an F54 turbo block with a p90 (solid lash adjuster) head.

The car has about 130K on it, starts great (even after sitting from one ice racing season to the next) but idles like crap from about 30 seconds after start until the temp guage reaches the 120 degree mark (first hash mark), then the idle smooths out. (I was told its a sensor, but I'm too lazy to fix it - I just let the car idle until warm before I race it anyway)

The tranny eats fluid (1 quart avery 250 miles) and the engine consumes about a quart to 1.5 quarts of oil per change...

The R200 is in good shape, and the CVs are as well, one of the rear brakes has been acting up....

The turbo spools fine and boosts well.

you can see what the cosmetics are from the photos.

diff ratio & more

I guess they wanted to keep the turbo spooled as long as possible, as its a 3.545:1 rear end...

-------------

I have a couple extras (if anyone is interested) that I would let go with the sale of the car... (these prices are only good if you get the car too)

T5 turbo tranny - $200
3.9 R200 - $75

Sorry, man. I have no way to get it from Ohio. I'm in Idaho and I just found out I have to do a complete gasket change out in my Z and I don't have the money to do both.
