So as some of you got to see first hand at Branson Z Fest this year, we have decided to roll out our newest intake plenum -



Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage's Gutted Maxima Intake is our answer
to the need for an affordable front-entry plenum for use on all 84-89 Z31 300ZX's.

In designing these, we tried to incorporate several of the same internal design aspects of our Z31 intake manifolds,
while going the extra mile to ensure fit and functionality.

As with our Z31 units, we begin by milling out the interior of the Maxima plenum. At this time we are able to radius the ports and taper the runners
leading down from the plenum floor to the Lower Intake Manifold. This helps to provide a real boost in performance in mid and high RPM ranges, as well
as ensures all cylinders receive equal airflow. The importance of proper port smoothing is critical, and it is a quality that we focus on doing right, every time.

After the interior of the intake is properly machined, our distinctive top plate is then expertly welded to the plenum housing,
and the welds are guaranteed for as long as you own the plenum.

Another prominent feature of the ASCO Gutted Maxima Plenum is the modification work we performed to ensure hood clearance on our cars.
The stock throttle body inlet of a Maxima plenum simply does not allow it to be used under the hood of the Z31 without some sort of modification.
By adding a inlet neck to our intake, this not only allows for hood clearance, but also assists in running intake & intercooler piping.

The throttle body port on the inlet neck is already configured to accept a 60mm throttle body for convenience as well!

We will be able to make a few modifications to the plenums on a per order basis -
AAR and IACV blockoff
Coolant Elbow removal

These modifications can be requested at the time of placing the order, and will not cost extra.
