Meeting Minutes
May 10, 2005
- Meeting opened with 19 Z enthusiasts present
- There will be a Z car swap meet at Radatz Motorsports in Atlanta on June 18th beginning at 10:00am.
- Photos taken recently and in the past will be used in our submission to Sport Z Magazine for our upcoming feature as their Spotlight Club for this next issue.
- Since we will probably be seeing more hits on our website when we are featured, we are thinking of ideas to spiff up the site. Send ideas to zcardoc@upstatezclub.com !
- As discussed last month, a motion was made (and seconded) to include an SZM subscription in the club’s membership dues. Dues would be increased to $40 and $45 (family) to compensate.
- Members receive the magazine at $13/yr if all members subscribe
- The club will have space in each issue in the “associate clubs” area, provided we submit news
- It was decided that the effective $3 drop in dues (the increase was only $10, not $13) would not hurt the club, especially if membership continues to grow
- Motion was passed unanimously by members present
- Decision will be effective beginning at the next meeting
- Upstate Z Club sticker samples were presented
- Almost unanimously, members felt that they needed to be reduced 50%
[edit] reduced in size was 5"x5", new version will be 3"x3" including text - New test copies will be brought to the next meeting if a full order is not made
- Almost unanimously, members felt that they needed to be reduced 50%
- ZdayZ caravan:
- Walt Halbig is the point-of-contact for members leaving from Anderson
- Email: walt_halbig@msn.com (note the underscore there!)
- Shaun Barrett (for lack of anyone else in Greenville) will be the point-of-contact for members leaving from Greenville
- Email: bshaun@alumni.clemson.edu
- Bill Wilson noted that he and Bryan will be leaving around 5pm Friday
- Bring your 2-way radios!

Great Job!
Shaun:
I'm adding this site to my favorites to keep up with your posts.
Sorry I missed the meeting that had such a good turnout.
Thomas told me about the debate as to "which way to the dragon".
Basically, Interstate vs. mountain route, right? Please post when the route and departure time is determined.
Thanks again...yu da man!
