Brake Pads

Somebody recommend a good brake pad. I dont track my car but drive it pretty hard on the street sometimes. I have Hawks on the front but I need to change the rears now so I need a complete set. I wanted to try something different but will put the hawks on all four corners if I have to order something that's going to take a week to get here. It would be better is some local shop carried them; Uehara motorworks ??
This is my list so far in to particular order.

Project MU
EBC Red
Endless
Hawk
Axxxis
You guys know that I wont drive my car dirty so they need to be low dust too.

Yeah pepboys carries them but they would have to order the rears but that would only take one day. They also have the EBC's too but only the green stuff and again the rears are out of stock too.

yea they had to order my rears, think its stupid to carry the fronts and not the rears. If you do grab em up maybe get a lil tech session going to do an install, cuz I gotta get mine on soon.

The green stuff doesn't get your wheels dirty as quickly, but the black film can look nastier than regular pads.

I have the exact same pads...it would be nice to get a tech. session going. I could do my oil to...although I don't really need help with that.

Don't know if I would recommend these as I have never used them before but I hope they do well, hell thats why I bought them.

As a side note, does anyone recommend motul oil or have any opinions about it?

I had Nismo pads on my OEM Brembos once and they were pretty good. Just to throw another option out there .

My tech session is half done. The car is up on jack stands ready. I'm cleaning the wheels while they are off.

I just installed Hawk pads on all four corners this past weekend. Really easy to do... but I do recommend something: PBC grease and silicone grease. I couldn't get PBC (which is about $50 from Nissan for a tub), so I went with copper paste. The grease is for use between the backing plate and back of the pad. This way, you'll eliminate metal-on-metal sound from the pads. The silicone grease is mostly for the rear upper caliper bolts, but you can put some on the front lower caliper bolts if you wish.

Yeah except that they are about $360 a set!! I called Desert Nissan and that's the price that they quoted me, plus they are a special order.

I ended up buying some pads from Meyers Autoparts. The guy there is into drifting and Z's too and he swears by these pads. Centric. I bought the ceramic ones for the dust control but they have a severe duty pad too. I looked them up online and found that they are the parent company of Stoptech. I'll let you know have the pads work out.

MyNismo.com (Performance Nissan). Come on Sam, you should know better than to go to a local dealership for parts . Let us know how those other pads work out.
