In DIRE need of help!

My tranny just went out again. 2nd time in 2 months. Same exact thing happened as last time. I downshifted from 5 to 4, and WHAMO, my tranny locked up in 5th gear with the shifter in nuetral.

Does anyone here have experience with diagnosing/rebuilding tranny's. I am about to take apart the one in my garage from last month and would love if someone could come and point me in the right direction.

It's simply rediculous, this tranny has less then 1,000 miles and it did this. I am at a loss for works.

This is my 3rd 03 tranny, is there any difference in 04,05, or 06? I'd like an 06 because from what I hear, the shifting is a ton smoother.

try to get an 05 or 06 tranny - don't go down that 03 road again.
