exhaust installation

Hows it going everyone,

I was wondering if someone could let me know where i can get an exhaust installed. I'm in the process of buying an Injen SES exhaust from a guy on my350z, and I'm not sure where to go to get it installed. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I just installed an Injen exhauast on my girlfriend's Z. It took about an hour and a half. Not too hard. All you need is a 14mm socket and a rubber mallet. If you want to take it to a shop try Performance Muffler on Industrial just South of Tropicana.

I'm down for a tech session. I read a write up on motoring and it didn't look that hard to do.

I wanna hear her car, since its pretty much stock... I see a lot of people selling them on my350,so I could get a good price for one. I only heard it when you had your test pipes on, and that was a bit too loud for my taste and DD

The test pipes didn't really make it that much louder suprisingly. From what I remember at least.

Any possible date set yet. Anyone wanna help me change the brake pads and bleed the system. Also need to change all the lubricants in my 6spd tranny, new spark plugs and wires.

I am planning on getting some hawk pads. Ive heard that motul fluid is the way to go. What plugs, wires, tranny fluid and such should I pick up? Am i missing anything?

Redline tranny fluid, MT-90, link below... I've used this stuff for the last 2 years and love it.

also get the Hawk HPS or Nismo pads, I've used both and the Hawks are just as good as the Nismos but cost a little less.

Motul MT600 (i think) is also great stuff. If you're serious about a brake upgrade, just get the Stoptech Stage 2 package deal which includes rotors, steel brake lines, motul and pads for around $600.

Im just replacing all the main things that would be done in a normal tune up. Plugs, wires, fluids, and stuff like that.

As for the brakes, im not really lookin for an upgrade. Just sick of the damn things squeaking everytime I stop LOL

Mine have squeeked for 2 yrs. and I have tried numberous methods of getting rid of it, none of them have worked. I think I may need new rotors though.

About how many quarts of each should I be needing? I also can't find a dealer locator for the NGK plugs and wires. Should the O2 sensor and distributor cap also be replaced?

I haven't looked, but I just assumed (like most newer cars) we don't have a distributor cap.

Checker sells NGK.

correct, we have coil packs. The coil packs should last for the life of the car with stock power. Same with the O2 sensors.

I called Performance Muffler and they quoted me anywhere from 50-100 which isn't too bad. I won't have the exhaust 'till Sunday so if anyone is still willing to do a session let me know.

Still willing, this should only take about an hour. Do you have the aero kit?

One more thing,

Has any ever had a problem with an Injen CAI. I've had it on for a few weeks now and it idles really low. Whenever I try to restart my car after driving it, it dies out. Also, yesterday my air bag light starts flashing.WTF! Does anyone know if my intake would have caused this somehow?

I had the same exact issue with my idle after I installed my Injen (3yrs. ago). Might try disconnecting the battery cable, pushing on the brake pedal to get all the electric juice out, and then hooking it back up about 15 minutes later. This should reset the ECU to adapt to the change.

Not sure about your airbag warning light, did you recently put on a new bumper or anything that might damage the sensor?
