F*#ked up the Chevelle today.
Well last night I changed the rear springs in hopes to eliminate the *** sag that the extra weight in the trunk created. Well those went on fine and when I lowered the car off of the jack stands, the problem was still there. In the midst of my pissed offness I forgot to torque down the lugs on the rear wheels. On my way to the car show today I was driving on the 95 when the rear end was all over the place. I thought I had a flat tire so I pulled off on Casino Center Blvd. and into a parking lot. When I got out to check if I had a flat I realized that my passenger side rear wheel was hanging on by one lug nut! Not only were the other 4 lug nuts gone, but the studs fell out too so I couldn't even take one lug from the other three wheels and get it home. So instead of going to Las Vegas's biggest car show, I had to get a ride home, pick up the trailer and get the car in the garage. Now I can't get the one lug nut off because the stud spins with it, and I can't get to the stud because I can't get the wheel off! . Although this sucks and is a big pain in the ***, I am just glad that one lug nut stayed on because if my wheel had fallen off going down the freeway I would have had a lot bigger problems. I took some pictures, but I have to put them on my computer.

Thats the way I am looking at it. Thank god for that one lug nut. And I am now going to stock up on Red Bull for the next time I have to pull an all nighter. I need my brain to be fully functional.

Ok literally right after I posted this it took me 30 seconds to get that lug and wheel off.
DEATH TOLL:
1 Eagle Alloy Series 212 18" wheel
1 Superior Axle & Gear "heavy duty" axle
1 Drum brake
4 Wheel studs
4 Lug nuts
There is an upside I guess. Although it will cost me buttloads of money, here is what I am going to do to fix the problems...
4 New wheels & tires (I was going to replace them soon anyways)
1 Baer Brakes BBK
20 New lug nuts
1 Set Strange Axles
4 New wheel studs

Ok build a super charged engine for both. That Chevelle is to heavy for that small block anyway. You need a aluminum block (500 cu or larger) and heads, an old roots type puffer and injectors. With the cost of gas you might as well run methanol. Just my idea
