Well I didn't go to the NHRA Finals today. I sustained some ankle injuries last night due to the fact that I've worked at the Speedway all week. I started Thursday and worked 12 hours, standing on the starting line, which left me pretty sore (And completely dirty from all the rubber sprayed up on my backside and arms). Friday I worked 13 hours on the starting line and 5 hours at WOO (World of Outlaws). Then last night was the breaking point. 18 hours total of standing on my feet (with only 3 times to actually sit down during the day). At about 10:30 last night my left ankle finally gave out and started swelling up so I had to call off working for today. NHRA was fun and all but at the same time what we had to do was BS. It's pretty much a thankless job and everyone looks at you like you're the enemy. The only cool people that were there were the grass-roots people doing their qualifying and eliminations. The Pros were pretty much all d!cks except for John Force (he was a really great guy to talk to). All in all I put in 14 hours last weekend and 49 hours this weekend in 3 days so I'm sore and tired. Hopefully I'll feel better on Friday when I get paid.

I woulda walked off with Mike haha... wow, that really sucks!

If it makes you feel any better, I had to play at the UNLV football game which they lost horribly where 3/4ths of the stadium (which at one time was full) was empty by the middle of 3rd quarter. We only played to keep ourselves entertained.
