How long did it take you to DIY lowering springs?

I'm sure most of you have installed lowering springs on your own. Can anyone give me a rough estimate on how long it took you to DIY? I found this DIY and the guy who wrote this up said it took him 7 hours . If it's going to take that long I'm considering having a shop do it considering I'll have to get an alignment done anyway...

Thanks

2-3 hours is really all you need. The rears took about a half hour but the fronts were a little bit of a PITA.

Eibach Pro-Kit. I got them used with 3k miles on them from a guy selling them on My350z.com at a nice price. It dropped the front ~1 and the back ~1.2. As far as the ride, I feel the bumps just a tad more then stock. Cornering is awesome and almost no nose dropping in quick hard shifting. So far I like them.

Good question. That would have been my next question to the group. There is a shop close to my work called The Customer Shop. I haven't used them yet. It's off of Annie Oakley on Pilot. Anyone every use this shop?

Good deal! Post some pics as soon as you can!

Also, it may help if you have your vehicle re-aligned and re-cambered after the drop.

I have the spring install down to about an hour by myself now . 30 min. with two people.

LV350 - The Custom Shop is a truck/SUV place so I doubt they have ever seen a 350Z on their lift. The most experienced guys in Vegas when it comes to the 350Z are right here on this forum, so as long as you aren't yanking your motor, organize a tech session for the club .

One hour... wow! Yeah, I was following the DIY on 350z-tech.com to the letter and I did the front right first. 2 hours later after fighting the spring with the coil compressor to get enough room to remove strut and spring off in one piece I realized there was an easier way. After that the front left took about 45 minutes and the rears were very easy. About the shops in Vegas, I am starting to realize that. I’ve had two issues already with Douglas Nissan and now I wont go back. It is good to know that the club is a good resource to reach out to if help is needed. Thanks guys!

Sorry, it's going to have to wait another day or so. I got home late and lost my opportunity of sunlight.

Here's a quick shot. Not the best picture but you can get an idea of the clearance. I'll take better photos after installing my smoked side marker overlays this weekend.

Nice, decent drop! I assisted in three installs, one of them was on my own vehicle. After the second time around, we finally figured out that a spring compressor wasn't needed at all.
