Last Midnight Mayhem of the year 12/1
The air is cold, and that makes for good 1/4 Mile times!!!
This Friday December 1st is the last Midnight Mayhem of the year at LVMS. I will be on my way to Buttonwillow Raceway for a Time Attack, but I encourage the rest of you to take part in this event.
Who: Anybody
What: Legal, non-competition drag racing
Where: The Strip @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway
When: 7pm to Midnight
Why: To see what you and your car are made of in a legal & safe racing environment.
How Much: $5 admission for spectators, $10 admission for drivers.
What will I need?: They don't usually check, but bring your registration and insurance and then $5 or $10 CASH since they don't take plastic or checks. Thats it!
Whoever is going, feel free to set up a pre-meet somewhere so whoever is going can roll in together and run with eachother down the track.

Time to beat for Naturally Aspirated is 14.213 set by yours truly a long time ago in my 350Z before the turbos.

We could meet at the truck stop right outside the Speedway Blvd. entrance. I'm hoping to beat your n.a. time. I heard that F-Body (Camaro) rims fit on the Z. If they do, I'll have DR's.

Camaro rims will not fit. Mustang rims do though.
The truck stop is a possible place to meet, but we used to always meet at Poppa's Bar & Grill off of Craig & I-15 and grab a bite to eat before heading out. There is good parking there and its close to the track. Better food too.

Poppa's sound good. I met some of the guys there once.

I went but wasn't sure of meet place (forgot to look it up here before I flew out of DC.
Was very crowded and was only able to make one run in 3.5 hours. Posted a very crappy 15.6 ET (dumb *** me forgot to turn off TCS and did a horrendous job at shifting ).
I did see two other 350's though, but don't believe they were part of the club. One of them had a full gauge cluster on the door pillar, yet surprisingly, no FI (tsk tsk tsk). He said he bought the car that way.

I was out there but didn't get there until alittle after 11pm and by then they wouldn't take anymore cars.
That's what I get for not taking my car to work and instead driving all the way home to get it. I did see two other Z's out there (white and silver). Dunno who there were.

I spoke briefly with the guys in the white and silver Z's. They weren't from any message boards and they weren't very friendly. We just talked for a minute about our ET's and they were on their way.
I ran three times in my car, pretty disappointing due to my 60' times.
Ran 15.00 2.5 60'
14.95 2.5 60'
and my last run was a 14.83 2.4 60'
I guess if I work on my launch it'll get better.

What was sad about the orange Z was (reference the boost gauges, etc.), was that he actually had them wired up to illuminate.
