Paint cost

I'm about to buy a body kit for the car in the next few weeks. What is the average cost I should be seeing when painting it? Its a full front bumper, rear bumper, and skirts.

Depends on how much prep they have to do on the parts, but I'd guess anywhere from $500-$800.

If you're worried about cost, do the prep work yourself.

Are we talking about just paint or full install?

1 quart with clear and everything needed for that 1 quart will run you about $120 .. and thats the good paint, dupont

1 quart will get you like, hood and front bumper. So that should be enough do do a body kit.

They charged me $450 for the labor and another $150 for the paint, so it was $600 total for installation and paint....and they did a great job. This is my regular body shop and they did give me a discount....I think they said its normally $600 or so for the labor.

the price I said was paint match and full installation for a full bodykit with rear spoiler

When my car was hit a while ago, the shop charged their insurance $400 just to color match (paint) the fender. Labor to fix the dent was a couple hundred. The paint on that fender is good quality. Outlasted the rest of the car's paint.

You guys have it cheap down there!

I paid 2200 for full fitting, prep, install and paint minus about 800 for misc dings that I had fixed in conjunction. So, around 1400 for the full bodykit. They did crap work the first time, but when I brought it back to be repainted (under warranty), they did a much better job.

It was that shop, you know, the one that shall not be named on this forum...

^^^Thats BS because that same shop charged me $1500 and I didn't even have a full front and rear bumper for them to paint and fit, just a lip, side, underwings, and an already painted spoiler to install. What dicks.

No matter how good the kit is, you're going to have some fitment issues with full bumper replacements. Best leave it to the pros...

I took my car down to spring mountain auto body on Spring Mtn. and jones. Normal price is like 1200 for normal install and paint. I am going to have to pay another 300-400 for fiberglass fabrication due to some bigger gaps that have to be filled and sculpted. But if you get a kit that fits pretty damn good youd probably be lookin at 1200.
