Anyway I saw the motorcycle bit.

Aarif, I would have to say, if you plan on street riding, DONT, way too dangerous in this day and age. Everyone has their horror stories and hate seeing each and every one and if your a new rider, just starting out, a 1st bike like that is crazy.

Now dont get me wrong your an adult and its ulitimately your decision. And dont mean to preach but...

My 2 cents, in my 28+ yrs of 2 wheel motorbike riding, (bikes before cars guy), scooters, dirt bikes, street bikes and 250 track bike for club/track racing etc I have been injured almost 20 times 3 of them serious (I still have lasting effects from a prv shattered leg, foot and hand, that I got in a accident in 85, also one of the main reasons the Z is an AT).

Also all my serious accidents happened on the street, not on the track. I have also personally lost 3 riding companions, due to street accidents (all 3 got hit by cars) another is crippled from the waist down and another has slight brain damage, again all road accidents. And everyone ive ever known who rode has got into accident in one shape or another.

But if you have your heart set on one, take a riders course asap. Remember cars dont see other cars, trucks, buses whatever, they sure as hell dont see bikes, not ever...

Hmmm....I don't know if I want to drive up on Friday night; since I would then have to get a room and spend even more money . I think I'm opting for the early morning drive and then I'm going to try and look for a car wash when I get there (cuz the car is going to get trashed I'm sure on the way over). Anyway, I'm sure I'll figure out something. BTW, Mike you still got those parts for sale? I'm interested in that pulley if you still have it.

 

Yeah I do. I have been lazy though and haven't swapped the pulley yet. I might just have VRT do it when its down there next week.

i am thinking of buying a quad too. i say get a quad over a bike strictly because of the danger of losing your life. there is a good chance you are gonna go head over heals and hurt yourself on the quad too, but there is not that high percentage chance of being hit by a car.

I am looking at a 660r raptor. i owned a raptor for a year or so right after they came out and i loved it. damn fast quad.

 

I'm glad that Aarif is veering away from a bike. It's too nutty out here.

Anyhow, I got a call from Scott @ Performance Nissan asking me what car I'm bringing out. I told him that I can't make it anymore because of an unscheduled work day. Grrrrr! Pisses me off. Anyway, enjoy the day people!

Okay, so we're down to six for the caravan with Mike hauling and Nforce1 iffy. The seven of us need to decide when to leave and quickly because if it is Saturday morning, I will need to cancel my hotel room.

I think we should all just meet up for breakfast somewhere that morning. The only other thing that I'm concerned with is getting the car washed when we get there. You guys want to meet up at an IHOP or a Denny's somewhere?

 

Hmmm....scratch that I guess....I'm pretty much f*cked now! Somehow the $200.00 I had set aside for the trip and my oil change has been spent on something else unbeknowenst to me and I'm trying not to kill my wife at the moment. So for now it looks pretty grim and I probably will not make it now. Anyways, I would love to elaborate more on the issue but I'm pretty pissed off right now.

 

I wish that I could go. I registered but cant go because of bday crap. I wanted to goto an NBA game on Sunday, cant do that either. Why are birthdays so important to women? There's car stuff to be had?

 

LOL not all women... Im mean really now, Bdays come around every year dont they? The same cant be said for events such as this meet etc.. they got raffles for pete's sake

Glenn's still debating . But to those of us left that are still going. Whos gonna leave sat morning (by fri at least)? Anyone? We could meet at the "Last Call" truck stop place or at one of those hotels (Nev landing etc) on the 15, then head on out. If not we'll just see whomever at the meet.

Man, this sucks.

This was going to be a big meet, but now we're all backing out because of last minute stuff like stupid work, stupid events, stupid spouses, etc.

I've come to a conclusion that we all need jobs like Mikey's.

 

Get her a Z...it's the happy medium. Birthdays will be great forever and never conflict with the scheduling of an event
