Skyline GT-R R34 in UK

Would I be a traitor if I sold my Z in Europe and went to UK and bought an R34 GT-R? The only reason is that if I sold the Z there, I'd have enough $$$ to get one.

If you want to trade looks for performance, then go ahead. Shipping a car that far would be too much trouble IMO. In other words, I'd sell my Z for a GT-R in the right situation.

I'm being transferred to Germany for two and a half years, so I'm going to have my car shipped there (gov't paid). I'm only wondering this because if I find a GT-R there, I'd be really tempted to get one and bring one back. The resale value of the Z is much greater than it is here, almost twice as much. I'm not sure about US spec vehicles, but who knows, people might want it!

Dude I would do it in a heartbeat! I would call MotoRex first to see if there are certain things you could do to the car while you are there so it won't be as costly on you when (and if) you bring it back stateside. Currently MotoRex charges $10,000-$25000 for conversion to U.S. Safety and Emissions standards. I figure if you took care of most of it yourself you're only looking at $10,000-$12,000 at the most. I eventually plan to do an extended-long in Japan one of these days and that is what I'll be doing if I get an R34. Either that or I'll be doin an RB26DETT engine swap.

Yeap, that's definitely one of the things I'm planning to do once I'm there. It's like how people buy souvenirs? I'm getting my version of a souvenir.
