Some photos from my road trip!
Here are some of the photos I took along the road trip up PCH last week. I should have taken more, but I didn't. The weather was foggy for every day of the drive and the car was filthy again by the time we hit Huntington Beach.
Stop 1: HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA
Well we stayed in Huntington, but we actually went to Universal Studios in L.A. for the day...
2 Fast For Y'all...
Part of the set of the "War Of The Worlds" movie...
"The Bates Motel" from the movie "Psycho"...
The house from the movie "Psycho"...
Stop 2: SANTA BARBARA, CA
We went to Mission Santa Barbara and then rented a little boat to crusie around in.
Some harbor seals hanging out just outside the harbor...
Mission Santa Barbara. One of the largest along El Camino Real...
Stop 3: SAN SIMEON, CA
We went to Hearst Castle and then took a stroll on the beach outside of the hotel.
This was the beach literally 100' from our hotel room...
The first thing you see when walking up to Hearst Castle, and thats just one of the guest houses ...

Stop 4: CARMEL, CA
The drive from San Simeon to Carmel along PCH was the best drive I have been on by far. Two lane road with no traffic, hundreds of turns that weaved along a cliff that went along the coast. The drive was like that for 3 hours.
The mode of transportation for the trip...
Some friendly wildlife along PCH...
Me and the 'ol ball & chain taking in the view along PCH...
Stop 5: SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Our last stop. Stayed a few days there in the city and enjoyed every bit of it.
The view from the hotel room. Skyline and Bay Bridge...

Elephant seals are way bigger than sea lions... and there is a huge colony about a mile north of Hearst Castle on the beach. They are there during the winter for the most part during breeding season. Males have elephant-like trunks and reach 16ft long and 5000 lbs.
