It was an awesome turnout by the 350Z/G35 community and a very good track day with nobody having any major problems. Although I must say, the 3.1 mile configuration is much more fun that the 3.5 mile. I did cord a tire however so I am only going out today to take pics . Rob, what was your best lap?

It would have been fun to see you run today, too. The time trials were pretty fun.

Mike sorry about your tires and thansk for the ride
Good to hear everyone had fun! Aaron, John, and the rest of the SV crew run some awesome events and I'm glad other locals besides me, JP, and Mike got to see what they have to offer. Last time SV was out at Pahrump was a long time ago but I'd like to think with the turnout they got at this event they'll come back more often. The time attack (!!) was a blast! I wish more of you guys could've been there for that.
The last time I was at SMMR the radical loop wasn't done. It was a great track then but it's even a better track now! The config we ran was long but it was a lot of fun.
The new S2000 worked pretty well for being stock. I got down to a 3:23.0 and I know there's still time I left out there. The car is in desperate need of an alignment. The lack of neg camber makes it really easy to overdrive and overheat the front tires .
Times should be posted on the SV site in a couple of days and hopefully everyone can join us at LVMS in June... http://www.speedventures.com/6-10-2006_event.asp

Only ran a 3:32 I think... still slow. Only got 2 sessions in though, that episode of brake fade / mushy pedal kind of freaked me out enough to call it a day.
*Incoming excuse... wait for it...*
The white group kinda slowed me down a little even though there were fewer cars on the track than the blue group. That guy in the Shelby replica was really nice in person, but he needs to learn how to give point bys on the track.

Every car starts in a certain class depending on how capable it is for example The Z starts in T7. Then as you add mods, tires, do a weight reduction you get moved up classes. So a Z with DOT-R race tires automatically gets bumped to T6. Since Mike is entered with 300 it sounds like he only has bolt ons and race tires so he's not bumped as high as he's supposed to be. At the end of the year I think the winner of each class gets a trophy.
Here is the T-Series classing http://www.speedventures.net/Classin...gs_booklet.asp

If you start in 9 tires, turbo, and suspension and your car would fall into 6 which I think would be a a pretty competitive class for your car. The only problem is to trophy in 6 you'd have to be willing to make a lot of cali events since it's such a competitive class.
