Tuesday Night Sushi?

Wife is doing a girls night out, so I'm free.

Anyone up for some fish?

Been so slammed at work for the last couple of days that I totally forgot to post. I won't be able to make it tonight, but if anyone else wants to set something up feel free.

This Tuesday let's hit Sushi + Sake at Green Valley Ranch. Quality is supposed to be pretty good and they have a happy hour between 5:00p and 7:00p so let's show up at about 6:00p.

Thats what Ive heard too (great food) but wont it be way too crowded at happy hour? Reservations mabey? I was thinking about this place as well, but thought it looked alittle too expensive to bring up.

But Glenn and I have been meaning to try them out (they actually have a japanese chef, if you know what I mean ). I'll go ask him tonight and see if he wants to go.

Cool. I hear that it doesn't get too crowded until later in the evening but I'll make reservations tomorrow when I can better guess about how many people are coming.

They don't show a menu but most sushi places carry terriyaki chaicken and stuff like that for people who don't do raw fish.

I cant make it tonight. But would like to plan one for my wife's restaurant. She is the manager of Sushi King in the Stardust. They have very good quality fish.

Also my brother in-law is a sushi chef at the sushi bar in the Paris Hotel.

So nobody was particularly pleased with the quality or the service there. Maybe it was the real chef's night off?

yup, great service w/some funky food. I agree that renowned chef on their web site must've had the night off. 1 hr all you can eat w/30 min wait time between orders.

by the way, Ty want some tea? she'll get you a cup.

So an idea has been proposed to change Tuesday night sushi to Thursday night sushi. It may fit better with some peoples schedules. Anyone got and comments or concerns?

Thursdays would be better for us as well. Though probably not for awhile. Took a drive on over to Performance on saturday, to pick up a few things and got some warranty work done.

But like we always do when there, we picked up a bunch of japanese food items and huge load of sushi etc... brought em back in coolers. Now were sorta sick of it Not to mention going to Momo's 3 times last week, mabey in a week or 2 we'll feel up to it again

As of this Friday, I now work in the daytime (versus evenings). Thursdays would be good for Sushi.

In fact, next Thursday (Feb 23rd) I could have us a table set aside at my wife's Sushi restaurant (Sushi King - Stardust Hotel) if you all want. It's ala-cart sushi though.
