Dime in the rough? I believe the term is actually... Diamond in the rough, which has a different meaning. I'm not sure what "dime in the rough" is supposed to mean.

But yes David... finding a MINT, LOW MILEAGE 280ZXT will be (to throw in another saying) like finding a needle in a haystack.

Well it never hurts i guess right? I mean, maybe a member or a lurker here might have one or know someone who does. I don't know where else to put a wanted ad unless its in a forum of people who own and love these cars. But, yes I know... its one in a million shot.

I would say don't set your limit at under 30k miles. Even a Z car with over 100k miles, as long as it has been maintained and taken care of, will run just as good as one with under 30k miles. Actually there's a good chance one with higher mileage will run better, that would mean it's actually been driven some where if it's super low there's a good chance that seals and stuff are waiting to give out from just sitting and drying out.

its true, my motor has 124k on it and still has factory compression in each cylinder, one has even a little higher than factory. low mileage you can find but under 30k is going to be near impossible. just saying, broaden your horizon there a little. especially since people that buy turbo cars, usually do it because they WANT to drive it, not cause its like a collectible like a zxr or 10th anniversary.
