Hey everyone, I'm looking for a 1982-1983 280zx, preferably with a turbo and the T-5 manual transmission. I have been looking into these cars for a while now, and I have always been in love with the Nissan Z cars. I figured this would be a good one to start with to get into racing.

I am 17 years old and looking to get into a little bit of track racing, I am looking for anything that you guys are willing to give me to feel free to post whatever you have. A bit of rust is not a problem, and interior really doesn't matter either, so long as is has most of the parts it needs to run.

So if any of you are willing to help me out here I would really appreciate it. I don't have much money so free would be really amazing, or maybe we can work something out. I live in northern/central California, about 45 minutes north of Sacramento, and I can probably tow the vehicle.

Tried Ebay or Craigslist? Since you're in California, should be a bunch around there.

 

Yeah I've been searching craigslist for a few days and I've found a few alright deals, I was just hoping maybe a Z enthusiast could sympathize with me a bit. Also a lot of people don't post their non-running vehicles on craigslist which I would gladly take. I'll definitely check out Ebay now though thank you.

Bumping in case anyone has anything, or has seen anything! Been browsing the forums daily and learning up some more on the car and I definitely still need one.

 

I'm down in Southern California, so it's a bit of a drive for you. My Z will need at a minimum, a rebuilt bottom end. Other than that, it's almost rust free, clean title and no back fees. Has 2012 tags too, but it will not pass smog in it's current state due to the #2 cylinder being dead.
