So you're only looking for a 70-71? I think you'll be looking for quite a while. Have you tried www.craigslist.com ?

hahaha indeed love that movie lmao. Did yal check out the import with a 5 layered spoiler ? lmao hilarious well at this point i just want a Z. i can always do some major weight reduction IE take thte anchor stock exhaust manifold and throw in a header. relocate batery to the back (weight distribution), throw in a RB20DET. to keep the inline 6 going on with that gorgeous sound it makes but have the turtle and twin cam ETC ETC ETC. so i suppose i dont really care what year it is at this point as long as its a 240z donated or rock bottom dirt cheapo. haha my 280z WAS a rustEE indeed. spend a year sanding it down by hand myself back in sophmore year in highschool. this is how it turned out after a years work.

LEGIT Z LOVER

My 280z and my previous 240z. LEFT i rebuilt from SCRATCH!!!! RUSTEE!!!
Red 240sx donated to my cousin after i finished it and got it running smooth

My second 240z passed on

I have a 72 parts car. Not much of it left, but I do have some bits and pieces. I'm in Houston Tx.

Slot mag set
good hatch with glass
full suspension - I'm taking the rear end
some interior panels
headlight switches
rear light casings (need the center chrome strips replaced)
cracked dash with gauges

d u d e . . . . .

Are you expecting a 240z to fall from the sky for you? I searched for 3 years to find my 240z. Then I dickered with the guy for months before he finally decided to sell it.

Just keep looking through craigslist & other online classifieds. Maybe one day you'll find it.

Taking in a Doner Z

I found my 70 in a local junk yard after looking for about a year. The junk yard guy had bought it at auction and put it to the side knowing what he had (an early z car w/o rust). He did not part it out. Keep on looking and you'll find something.

nice thats a good story to tell. did the car get a salvage title being sold from the junkyard? well to tel you the truth i did fidn 1 or two series ones. like the one i want. but wne youre being offered a car with no engine no trans holes in the floorboard. some cancer in teh fenders and stock 240z for $5000 it sorta turns you off :P hahaha. im sure there should be a rather CLEANER series one out there for muich cheaper . just a matter of luck and searching.

NICE FIND ive been talking to some folks over in japan for estimates on how much it would cost me over all for them to find me a bone stock in WHATEVER shape rust dont matter. they replyes it would cost within a $8,000 SHIPPED to longbeach cali. thats a 69-73 S30z. seems tempting since importing would be a breeze for these 38 year old cars. but unfortuntly that sort of $ is out of my reach at the moment so il have to stick with a donor Z or a 240z for dirt cheap i find so i can restore it.
