WTB '70-'78 Project Z
I want a car that I can do a bit of restoration & customizing on. Here are some of the things I am looking for:
Engine/Tranny: The car needs to run, it doesn’t have to be perfect but it should be in good enough shape to get through to next year when I can afford major engine work.
Interior: This is where I’ll be doing more custom work so it doesn’t bother me if the interior is in bad shape.
Body: Some rust is ok… “some” rust. I can deal with surface rust that can be ground down to metal and filled. I can also handle minor welding. I will be more prone to overlook some rust if the body is very straight. I want to do as much of the work as possible without the aid of a body shop. No rusted out floor pans or rails, please. I will be painting the car so I don’t care what or how many colors the car is.
Wheels/Suspension/Brakes: As long as it passes inspection and can get me around for awhile I’ll be happy. I’m not using the car as a daily driver or planning on taking it on long trips.
Location: I live in NC and would prefer the car be close... but for the right car I'm willing to take a weekend trip.
Pictures: I love pictures, especially if they are of good quality. I like to see outside from all angles, close-ups of hatch area, inside gas filler door, around wheel wells (rockers), underside (rails & floor pans), engine bay (under batt tray, strut towers, etc), interior (all around, dash, headliner, center console, floorboards, inside doors), etc. Don't be ashamed to take pics of the bad stuff... I don't expect perfection in a 25+ yr old car.
I am willing to spend around $1000 for the car… more if it is in the right condition.
Hope this isn’t too much to ask. Thanks,
BJ

BJ,
I have a 76 280z that I originally posted for 1500. I have since realized that it was over priced. (Did some more research.) I have several pictures of most of what you were looking for. (I can always take more.)
Let me know if your still looking and I can send them to you.
