WTB: Project 300zx shell
Looking to buy a project 300zx. Car can be in bad mechanical/body condition. Preferably in Florida. If anyone doesn't have one, but can give me a range on how much to expect one of these cars to cost, it would be appreciated. Thanks. I'm looking forward to enjoying this site too (Y).

doesn't matter. As long as it's 1990 + I could car less. I won't keep the engine /trans anyway. Thinking of doing something different.

just check the junkyard man... i am guessing you could find what you are looking for for 1k or something. do you care if the interior is all messed up? It's pretty much how much you are willing to spend. you could probably just get a car that doesn't run with an ok body and a deicent interior for anywhere between $500-$2000 depending on the shape. what are you planning to do when you say something different?

First of all, thanks guys for responding. I've been searching those very two sites and didn't come up with anything. I'll check them out and see if I'd like to purchase them. In answer to your question.....I'm looking to spend up to about $1,500 for a running/non-running car. What I'd like to do differently is to incorporte a bit of two worlds. A little ricy/ a little low-rider a little exotic. I don't know quite how I'll do this, but I have some ideas already. I have a picture of just an idea, but I can't get the picture to load. I'll update you when I get it to work.

Picture takes quite a while to load. If doesn't, then check back from time to time (I guess they turn their server off).
This is an idea of what I want to do. A more "ricey" front though. And I'll couple it with the pictured "exotic" rear. A little bit of stickers to complete the ricey look and maybe a glossy blue paint without the murals to give it the low-rider look. What do you think guys? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't know what you mean by ricey, but you won't get a good response to rice here, or with any Z owners for that matter. But the idea sounds alright. What do you mean by a ricey front? The rear looks pretty cool, nice widebody kit. I think you could make an a lot nicer car by using the rear and getting nice wheels and a nice front bumper. Ditch the stickers, banners, etc (unless you have sponsors, the REAL reason for decals). Lower the stance and make a nice clean car. drop in a TT motor and have a fast, good-looking, classy car. But to each his own, keep us updated none-the-less.

What I mean by ricey is by giving it a little edge. Sort of like a little sharper edges on the front of the car. Can't really explain it. But the front of the car is a little too "smooth" if you look carefully. That's just my style. What I mean by the stickers, is like an emblem on the sunroof with something on the windsheild or a little something somewhere. It's not going to be an overdo like TFATF Supra. Just a little accent in just the right places. But IMO, a plain car doesn't look good to me. Needs some spice. If you know of another way to accomplish this, then let me know.

saw that one already. I saw almost all of the kits out there for the z32. That's why I said I wanted to do something a bit different. Something that sets me aside from anyone who can just slap on a kit and have a good looking ride. A little molding here and there, a different wing, incorporate some things that have never/hardly been done. Like adding these to the kit.

I wanna have the younger and well as the older guys telling me what a sweet ride I have and the chicks who just LOVE to ride in it. That's why I want to mix it up a bit. I'm mature, but I'm not old, so I'm trying to get the best of both worlds.

whatever you do DO NOT PUT THOSE TAIL LIGHT ON YOUR Z...those are just plain wrong man...thats my opinion and about 99% of the foru agrees with it, but if u like them then do it...it's your car...it will just look too ricy with those

That is kinda the point. That's where the rice comes in, but plans are a long way off and I have to visualize it anyway, nothing is final. hopefully I can get started in May at the latest.

The vielside kit seems like it would be your type or the invader kit.

I got a black 300zx 5-speed with 17" rims and good rubber. Car started out with a n/a motor. bought it to do a tt conversion but have since lost interest. I am in the birmingham area. let me know if you are interested in going that distance from florida. I would let it go for $1200.

Thanks emo. I really like those side skirts.
To greenmonster: I don't know. Give me your zipcode so I can see if the shipping would make this deal a good one. Also you didn't include the year. Sounds like a good deal to me. Is it running?

Z32 shell
Yes the car is a Z32 the year is a 91? Would have to double check. the motor does not run. which is why I was going to do a TT conversion. My area code is 35226. It would be alot easier and cheaper to drive out, load it on a trailer and drive back. I will be driving to panama city next month. Sorry I will already have my skyline in tow so I would not be able to bring it with me. The reason I bring it up is that I would like to be rid of the car before I travel there on the 10th of march. feel free to call me (205)-978-6187

skyline..oooo, do post pics sometime please, and don't tell our member Nismo about it....he'll tell you more about your car than you ever wanted to know (he has a thing for skylines).

i knew they don't make TT z31's but he said he was doing a conversion, and sometmes people do different things, like a triple turbo vw rabit that i saw, and did not believe my eyes, as a matter a fact i still don't belie it runs...the guy had it on a trailor at the car show
