i was going to wait til closer to the event to start a thread, but i got a little antsy...
this show is F-ing awesome. i've been 3 times and i won't miss the 4th for anything. it's on May 16,17, and 18 i think.
this one is for import and kit cars. so it is freakin huge. it focusses on european cars and factory five kits mostly, but the jap cars make an apperance. i like british cars a lot so there is everything for me there.
last year there were maybe 3 Z32's and 5 240's, 260's, 280's, and a couple more old datsons. i wouldn love to see a bigger turn out of z's. thier section has looked a little too small.
more about how beast this show is: it's the biggest show i've ever seen. and there is a little bit of everything. there's always a pretty big section of cars for sale, several achres of vendors selling new and used parts for all types of cars (yes, these vendors do include those focussed on japanese cars). you can find everything here, from great car books, to countless car parts, to nuddie magazines, to a famous variety of vendor type foods. there are also seminars on car care and stuff, that i've never gone to. but some years they have a dynoon a trailer, a drag race, plenty of good stuff.
it's great. i sound like i'm advertizing proffesionally lol, but i just really like the show.
i will be riding up in the Z in a train of several beautiful british cars and spending the night in a hotel with a group of friends from the richmond triumph registery. anyone that can come, you won't be dissappointed.

Is there a link with info and pics for this show?
Edit: Found a link...

I have a 280zx but I have an older vette being painted so that would be the car I'd rather drive to a show once it's finished, too bad it's not a generic show for all cars.
There's a corvette show but I have to say that I prefer going to a show with a mixture of cars and I don't really like personalities of many of the corvette folks i know.

yea the vette would be out of place at the import show obviously, but bring the Z. it's not a competition (well, there is one, but it's small). there are some really crappy cars that get put on the show field because it is cheaper to show then to park. if you want to go and have all that fun, dont' let your car hold you back!
